There are more parasites in the seas than in the past. The salmon and other species suffer. These sorts of worms that dig into the skin of fish do the same with humans. The solution? These parasites do not like to be squeezed. Nor do they like alcohol, nor bicarbonate. I have no heard of people having this sort of problem but I assume that it just has not become public knowledge. So if one does see the something has burrowed under his skin, the thing to do is to squeeze it and apply alcohol or bicarbonate. You can mix the bicarbonate with tooth paste to make it stick.
