Belief in God is rational. Everything has a cause. So unless there is a first cause, then you would have an infinite regress. And then nothing could exist. Therefore there must be a first cause. Therefore God, the first cause, exists. QED.

It is important to me to justify Faith with Reason.
The best way to combine faith and reason after Kant is through the approach of Leonard Nelson and his new Friesian School and Kelley Ross at friesian.com. There were great thinkers before that that also walked this path of faith and reason, but they were all before Kant, and thus do not take the points of the mind-body problem into account, nor Kant's solution. Though Hegel also can be understood as taking the place of Aquinas in bringing about a faith and reason approach, still he never actually deals with the mind-body problem directly. [Hegel assumes Kant has answered the question by the apperception idea, the self. The self is not experienced, it experiences; and those experiences are combined with concepts. Those concepts are combined together with the experiences. Thus, synthetic -a-priori knowledge is possible, and the mind body problem is solved.] [I might add here that Kant only answers this question by half. He proves the self must combine concepts with sense data, but he does not show how. He gives a weak argument how concepts and sense data are empty without the other. Yet the argument where one side proves the other side and the other side proves the first side is CLASSICAL CIRCULAR REASONING, and is like defining cold as that which makes one feel cold by slowing the atoms down; - and shows that that which slows atoms down makes one feel cod. You have not proved or showed anything. It is a circular argument. But it still contains the solution to the mind-body problem. For as Leonard Nelson noted, there is a layer of knowledge which is not derived by reason nor sense data. But there is no reason to believe implanted knowledge. So, you need two things for this to work: you need axioms and falsification of Karl Popper. Axioms you might be known by immediate non intuitive knowledge but they can be disappeared with as what happened when they are falsified. Classical Time and space disappeared in quantum mechanics as Desitter noted and later the Einstein- Podolsk test and Bell theorem approach showed time and space are how we must perceive things but nothing has classical values in time or space until it is measured or interacts with other things.
