Hanuka has a lot to do with going against idolatry. it is reminder that God, the first cause is not a form nor body. That is the formulation of the Middle Ages but a better way to put it would be God has no form nor substance. These two categories apply to all physical things but they are not applicable to God. God is not confined to categories that he has created. He is not a composite of form nor substance. [the rebellion against Antiochus was because of rejecting idolatry].
