Therapists are severely damaged people who go into therapy to give themselves a self-image of goodness while having complete control of the people they treat and people in their lives. A person has a pseudo-disease, dubbed a mental illness, if they are unwilling to do something that therapists think they ought to do. Just because someone doesn't like your behavior, and possesses a drug that can change you, doesn't mean they have a right to drug you. or force you into "therapy." One of the greatest errors of modern thought is the medical metaphor. [Evertrhing we do not like we call a mental disease] The medical metaphor adds nothing to our knowledge of human choice and behaviour; indeed, it takes away the deep and penetrating knowledge that we once had when we looked at every human being as another free-willed being. Calling wild mood swings "multiple personality disorder" doesn't teach us anything; but it is not without purpose. Its purpose is to de-humanize the person, to strip him of his dignity, and to justify coercion.Psychology is pseudo-science as noted by Karl popper because it does have the major characteristic of an authentic science. That is falsifiability. I mean to say that any true science has to be able to be disproved by some observation. For example, if it predicts that if my theory is correct then this thermometer will rise from1 to 6. If it does not move or moves to ten, the theory is false. Psychology is no like that there is no conceivable experiment that would disprove the pseudo theories of psychology because any observation they can always show that it proves their hypothesis. An example of this can be found in the life of Karl Popper who encountered a disciple of Freud in Vienna who had a theory that all human motivations boil down to aggression. Popper asked him how does he know this? Answer I have had sessions with a hundred patients and I can see this dynamic in each case. Popper told him and if you will have another hundred patients you will be able to show that they lead to the same conclusion. That does not prove anything. There has to be some observation that can disprove your theory. If that observation does not happen then your theory is correct. But until then it is pseudo-science
