Belief in God is rational. Everything has a cause. So unless there is a first cause, then you would have an infinite regress. And then nothing could exist. Therefore there must be a first cause. Therefore God, the first cause, exists. QED.

I had thought of a possible answer to the question of the Raavad on the Rambam in laws of marriage chapter 16 law 25. The Rambam brings the mishna that if there is disagreement if a woman was a virgin when she got married, the ketubah is a hundred zuz, and the husband takes an oath [saying that she was not a virgin and therefore her ketuba is only 100 zuz, not 200.] because he is admitting to part of the obligation. The Raavad says there is no oath from the Torah here because it one does not swear on denial of a lien [shibud] on land. The answer to this question [I had thought] is that the Rambam is going like the opinion of the Ri Migash brought in the Shita Mekubetzet Bava Metzia page 4 who says that the principle that the Raavad brings is only when the document is present. Clearly it is not present here because if it was, we would know if it was for a virgin or not. However, this is impossible because in laws of loans 14:4 the Rambam writes if a lender brings forth a document of a debt and the borrower says he paid half and witnesses say he paid it in full, he takes an oath because he admitted to part of the debt and pays half. so here the document is before the court and in that case the Ri Migash says he ought to not be obligated to take an oath because it is a case of denial of an obligation of payment by means of land. However, on second thought, perhaps the Rambam holds a lien on land applies specifically to a ketuba which ought to be collected only with land. Thus, a loan might not be thought to be in the category of shiabud on land. So, for a loan, there would be an oath in all cases of admission in part. But for a ketubah, the only time there would be an oath is when there is no ketubah this is presented to the court. However, this answer needs a bit of modification since the Gemara in chapter oath of a pledge and the Rambam in laws of oaths chapter 8 law 13 hold that a debt that is backed by a document is also considered a lien on land. so, the only exception to this would be a loan that is not backed by a document.---
------------------I would also like to bring here an answer to the question of the ראב''ד on the רמב''ם in laws of אישות chapter 16 law 25. The רמב''ם brings the משנה that if there is disagreement if a woman was a virgin when she got married, the ketubah is a hundred זוז, and the husband takes an oath because he isמודה במקצת . The ראב''ד says there is no oath from the תורה here because it one does not swear on denial of a lien [shibud] on land. The answer to this question [I had thought] is that the רמב''ם is going like the opinion of the ר''י מיגש brought in the שיטה מקובצת בבא מציעא דף ד' who says that the principle that the ראב''ד brings is only when the document is present. Clearly it is not present here because if it was, we would know if it was for a virgin or not. However, this is impossible because in הלכות מלווה ולווה 14:4 the רמב''ם writes if a lender brings forth a document of a debt, and the borrower says he paid half, and witnesses say he paid it in full, he takes an oath because he admitted to part of the debt and pays half. So here the document is before the court, and in that case the ר''י מיגש says he ought to not be obligated to take an oath because it is a case of כפירת שיעבוד קרקעות.----However, on second thought, perhaps the רמב''ם holds a שיעבוד on land applies specifically to a כתובה which ought to be collected only with land. Thus, a loan might not be thought to be in the category of שיעבוד on land. So, for a loan, there would be an oath in all cases of מודה במקצת. But for a כתובה, the only time there would be an oath is when there is no כתובה which is presented to the court.-------However, this answer needs a bit of modification since the גמרא in chapter "שבועת הפיקדון" and the רמב''ם in הלכות שבועות פרק ח' הלכה י''ג hold that a debt that is backed by a document is also considered a שיעבוד on land. So, the only exception to this would be a loan that is not backed by a document.
In the Rambam laws of marriage (chapter 16, law 25), the Mishna in Ketuboth at the beginning of chapter 2 (page 15b) is brought. [If a woman says she was married as a virgin, and the husband says as a widow, her ketuba is one hundred, and he takes an oath since he admits to part of the obligation.] Rav Shmuel Rozovvski of Yeshivat Ponovitch, Rav Shach and Rav Nachum of the Mir all deal with that law as it relates to Bava Metzia page 4b; admission in part causes the obligation of an oath. I thought that perhaps the law in that Mishna of Ketuboth is talking about a place where they write a ketubah [and thus if it is not shown, he could have said ''I paid it'']. Also, one can say that the Rambam holds of an opinion (that I have never heard suggested before), i.e., that one can take an oath on a case where there is shiabud of land but one can not bring a sacrifice on that oath if he swore falsely. the fact is in laws of marriage in our law here, the Rambam does not mention the principle one does not swear on denial of shiabud (a lien or obligation) of land. But he does mention it in laws of oath concerning bringing a sacrifice. also, it is possible to note here that the ketuba is a document and all documents according to the Rambam are from the words of the sages. Therefore, any shiabud of land in it is derabanan.--------------------------In the רמב''ם הלכות of אישות (chapter 16, law 25), the משנה in כתובות at the beginning of chapter 2 (page 15b) is brought.
In laws of loans chapter 13 law 4 and laws of borrowing chapter 6 law 1
In a case where a lender says the pledge was worth 1/2 of the loan (and it was lost through negligence), and the borrower claims it was worth 3/4's of the loan, the law is the lender takes an oath that he does not have the pledge anymore, and the borrower takes an oath about the value of the pledge, and the borrower pays the 1/4 of the loan that he admits to. The Ramban asks, "Why would this be a case of admission in part? Why not let the borrower claim, 'Perhaps the lender still has the pledge, and thus I am not obligated to pay anything until he gets it back?'" Rav Shach answers that once you have the lender take an oath, you do not have the possibility to say you do not believe him. I asked on this from a case in Laws of Borrowing (chapter 6, law one) where the Rambam (Maimonides) says once the lender agrees to pay for the pledge, and a similar type is available in the market, he does not have to take an oath. And thus, the question of the Ramban (Nachmanides) returns. However, I can answer this question. In our case, there is a disagreement about the value of the pledge. It is only in a case where the lender would agree to forgo on the payment of the loan according to what the borrower claims was the value of the pledge, that the borrower would have to believe the lender.----------------------In a case where a lender says the pledge was worth 1/2 of the loan it was lost through negligence and the borrower claims it was worth 3/4's of the loan, the law is the lender takes an oath that he does not have the pledge anymore, and the שואל takes an oath about the value of the pledge, and the שואל pays the 1/4 of the loan that he admits to.
