There is something strange about the Orthodox world of Judaism. But there are a few redeeming features.There are not a lot of reform shuls or conservative ones where you can go to sit down and learn Talmud with a learning partner.

And there are a few issues in which the orthodox are correct --like kashrut and Shabat.

However the fact that most chareidi institutions are against the state of Israel and claim that this stance is the stance of the Torah is very problematic. I am not sure of how the orthodox get around the contradiction of thinking that being antisemitic is somehow OK according to the Torah and Halacha.
